I went to Liverpool to go to uni and grow up. I didn’t grow up but I’m still in Liverpool. I swear too much and hate the sound of my voice. I get drunk very easily but remember it all in the morning. I love tinned hot-dogs even though I know what’s in them, big mugs of stewed tea that stain the sides of the cup and my mum’s lasagna. I love my mum. And the boy and the rabbit and recently hamster face too. I like the sound of the rain on the windows when you’re snuggled up in bed and know you don’t have to get up for anything, scaring myself by watching TV shows about real life serial killers, the way Carlton dances in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, reading book after book after book, taking photos of things I think are pretty, the smell of grass after it has just been cut and (secretly) that sewer smell that drifts up from the pavement sometimes, listening to music that makes the hairs on my arms stand up and cleaning out my ears with cotton buds after a shower. I knit, I crochet, I sew and paint and make up silly stories in my head that I never actually finish. I can do and excellent Fonz impression but can’t do a Yorkshire accent even though that is where I was born. My dream is to marry Donald Sutherland and the boy is okay with that as he doesn’t think I’ll ever meet him. Little does he know I have a plan… :-) I can annoy my sister just by looking at her but she loves me anyway. I’d have to say the same for most people actually…
